Segovia, Spain

Our next minitrip took us to Segovia, a historic city in the autonomous region of Castile and León.

The main attraction of Segovia is a Roman aqueduct, built in the 1st/2nd century BC. The structure and history of the aqueduct are impressive enough, but I was more amazed to learn that it is held up entirely by gravity. No mortar, concrete, hot glue, etc. Just gravity.

After we got back we had a few days back in Madrid to relax, and then we were off to...
